"You know, this time its tubular. Its like I am crawling inside the large intestine of an alien bio-mimetic airship. In the dim ambient light (as usual I have forgotten to carry in my flashlight), I can make out certain small appendages which seem to be sticking out from all sides of the tubule. They branch out in complex forms but only seem to grow to a certain height. The tips of the biggest appendages end in tiny globular pearls of light. I guess that's what contributes to the ambient light. There are patches of "barren" regions as well on several parts of the tubule section I am currently observing. These regions are darker than the others naturally, and so it becomes almost impossible to observe what the surface of the tubule really looks like. In any case, observing colors is out of the question. These light globules on the appendages are not intense enough to allow the cones in my eyes to function. For all practical purposes I am color blind right now."
"Okay, enough of the appendages. Did you notice any ridges yet? Remember you have to tap into the tubule communications."
"I am on it Sir."
